I met E for a pre-consultation and fell in love with his attitude and his easy spirit. He wanted a professional headshot so we developed some concepts in our meeting then I sent him styling tips and finally we shot at his alma mater, ASU for a meaningful and remarkable headshot session.
Here’s what worked for E’s session:
LOCATION: We chose a location that had significance to E and that also could deliver the vibe and style he was going for in his headshots. With Frank Lloyd Wright architectural pieces in the background and E’s cool, superior sense of style at work, we really couldn’t go wrong. It also helped that E was super comfortable with the location, having spent time there for school. We worked with backgrounds of concrete walls, concrete steps, some greenery, a tunnel and a parking garage. All of the industrial elements I felt really created a high quality, high speed vibe for E’s headshots that truly conveyed his powerful professional stance.
STYLE: E brought with him several pieces of apparel so we could pick and choose together what looked best for the location and for his headshots. I appreciate having choices. Sometimes clients text me images of what they are thinking of wearing and I’m happy to weigh in that way but also bringing freshly pressed choices works too.
ASSISTANCE: A, E’s girlfriend, joined us at our sunrise session and was enormously helpful in carrying his things, cheering him on and keeping his coffee topped off with Bailey’s!
